ICANN Domain Verification Regulation Print

  • domain, icann, verification, suspended, suspension, verify

ICANN or Internet Corporation for Assigned Name and Numbers requires domain owners to confirm their WHOIS contact information for new domain registrations, transfers and contact modifications. After purchasing a domain name, you will receive an email from our domain registry to verify your contact information. Simply click on the verification link in the email and follow the steps on the registry's website. You have 15 days from the domain's registration date to complete this process, the sooner you complete this, the better.

If you do not complete this process, the domain will be suspended by ICANN and become unavailable on the Internet. There is nothing we can do to override this, you must complete this verification process. If your domain has been suspended, you can contact our sales or billing department and will be happy to assist in getting the verification email resent to you.

Only some of the domain TLDs require verification...

  • .com
  • .xyz
  • .net
  • .org
  • .info
  • .biz
  • .asia
  • .name
  • .mobi

Contact details verification is not needed if you have registered with a different domain extension.
